A 19 year old girl was discovered dead inside a walk-in freezer after she was nowhere to be found while partying with friends at a hotel.
Kenneka Jenkins’ body was discovered more than 24 hours after she vanished from the party in a ninth-floor hotel room – according to her friends, they had lost track of her and they left after they were unable to find her.

The 19-year-old’s family then launched a desperate search which came to a tragic end as staff searched the hotel. Detectives have told her mum that she apparently let herself into the freezer while she was inebriated.

The teen had gone to the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel in the US city of Rosemont, Illinois, for a party late Friday night. Her family last heard from her when she sent a text message to her sister at 1.30am on Saturday, ABC 7 reported.

Miss Jenkins’ mum Tereasa Martin told the Chicago Tribune that police informed her that her daughter apparently let herself into the freezer while she was inebriated and died inside.

She received a devastating phone call from police after her daughter’s body was found in the early hours of Sunday.

Ms Martin said:
“(I’m) horrified. It’s something that no one could ever imagine. It’s unbelievable.”

Police are still investigating, and a post mortem was scheduled to confirm the cause of death. Ms Martin, from Chicago’s West Side, said her daughter’s friends called her at 4am on Saturday to tell her that she was missing.

The worried mum went to the hotel but was unable to find her daughter. She asked staff to check CCTV and was referred to police, so she called 911.

Dispatchers told her to wait a few more hours because she could have been out with friends, WGN reported.
Ms Martin returned to the hotel in suburban Chicago to search for her daughter again, and the teen’s sister filed a missing person report at about 1.30pm on Saturday.

Police said hotel staff conducted a search and Miss Jenkins’ body was found just before 12.30am on Sunday. The freezer had been turned on and was cold but was not being used to store food, the Chicago Tribune reported.
But Ms Martin refuses to believe that her daughter entered the freezer on her own.

She said: “Those were double steel doors, she didn’t just pop them open.”

Indeed I was. I was/am too reserved to be the life of ANY party.

Besides my folks called you 'longa throat' if you told them you're going to a party. The embarrassment was enough to keep yer butt nailed to the house

Ladies no offense oo but this is the naked truth.

She don high or she took wetin pass her wey dey make her body hotter than faya. She needed to cool her body then find the low temperature of the walk in freezer chilling. She could have passed out inside the freezer while in a deep sleep, that's just my own opinion.

Reading this story countless time from different source and yet, Something do not just add up with this story. No sane person, I repeat. No sane person regardless the amount of liquor would do such a thing to themselves ( only if they were suicidal which I doubt she was). Talk much of a teenager girl who was supposedly "hanging out" in a party with her so called friends who'd "accidentally loose" track of her.
From speculations, it's evident that her friends killed her. cos they had plan with boys to rape her, then tied her up and put inside a freezer. The girl froze to death. To cover their tracks they came live on Facebook to show they where having fun. what people the did not see in the video was all three of them was shaking.
They looked nervous.
They looked scared...
They purposely made that video to show "she wasn't here with us" because they denied seeing her in the party for some time, according to them she left.

I just felt so sad that 3 teenagers could do that to their friend..
To Plan and execute such.
The world is indeed a mysterious and evil place .
