I would advice anyone here that if you're based in Nigeria pls forget LinkedIn... If you're based in the west(USA, Australia, London) I tell you even if you're a fresh graduate you would be so surprised with the kind of job offers you will get! I'm saying this from experience!

Linkedin is rubbish as far as am concerned. All the people saying yes yes ain't saying truth they must have known someone before getting the job. Every thing in Nigeria is fake
That what I have been trying to enlighten people here that it works best if you're outside the country.. I'm say this from experience

LinkedIn is legit. Got three direct jobs from recruiters then but had to do some alternative foregone.
Through LinkedIn, and a beautiful profile, you'll also get the chance to contact Job posters and HR directly, tracking your application or your interview.
