The Executive Farmers Incubator Program (EFIP) is designed for new and beginner farmers seeking an intensive, applied learning experience in-other to start their own farm.

EFIP caters to people who are currently on paid employment, and can be available only on Saturdays. This training program will be carried out in collaboration with Eweko Concepts and Epe Agribusiness Cluster. The program would run for 8 weeks in Epe, Lagos state.

The training covers;

Pre planting operations – site selection, soil testing, land preparation e.tc. This covers steps to take before planting, things that need to be considered before putting seed in the ground.

Planting operations – what are the activities carried out during planting, what are the various operations, spacing, plant population, seed sourcing, planting method and preparatory materials for each plant, how to plan our production.

Nursery preparation – How to develop your plant nursery, what is required, why the nursery, what plants require nursery preparation
Integrated Pest Management – How does one deal with pest, how can we prevent and manage infestations

Integrated Soil Fertility Management – this covers how farmers can improve the fertility and structure of their soils.

Plant husbandry – this covers the care and maintenance of their soils

Harvesting and marketing – What happens at Harvest, how to market and promote your crops

Farm Business planning - this covers the business of farming and planning

The facilitators for the program have been carefully selected with over 35years combined farming experience, have undergone various trainings locally and internationally. Our facilitators also provide mentoring to participants post training.

The program only runs on saturdays starting on the 14th of October 2017 and costs N85,000. The fee can be paid in two installments of N45,000 and N40,000
