The 5th Anniversary of the Maiden Pastoral Visit and Blessing of a New Chapel and Rectory of His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Dennis Isiuzo (Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese), at St. Peter's Catholic Parish Enugo - Ojoto. On Sunday 09/ 17/ 2017, in Ordinary Time Year A in Catholic Calendar.

The Anniversary Celebration started at about 10:00am with Holy Mass Procession by Rev. Fr. Aloysius Uzodike, Administrator at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Enugo-Ojoto. The Holy Mass began with a special greetings to all the congregations present, and recognitions of dignitaries was noted:

>High Chief Senator Sir Annie Okonkwo (KSJI NPOM, Owelle Ojoto, Agunaechemba Idemili) fully represented by Hon. Festus Obierike Dynasty,
>High Chief Sir Gerald Mbamalu (KSM, Nnayelugo, Ichie Okaa-Omee II, Ogene Ojoto II, Ojoto Regent),
>High Chief and Lady Nwafeenna Romeo Anyisia (KSM, Ichie Obododike II, Okanga Ojoto),
>Chief Dennis A. Okafor (Ide Ojoto),
>Chief and Mrs Paulinus Agbanajelu (Omeluora Ojoto),
>Chief and Mrs Sunday Ezeagu (Adiddas Nwachinemelu),
>Chief Sir and Lady Ignatius Onwuasoeze (Ugonwanne),
>Sir, Dr. and Lady P.C. Anyalowu (KSJI),
>Chief Sir and Lady Nchedo Orakpor (KSJI),
>Sir and Lady Leonard Ezekwelu (KSM) and others.

The first Reading was taken from the Book of Sirach 27:33-28:9 followed by a responsorial Psalm (Psalm: 103). The Second Reading was taken from the Book of Roman. 14: 7-9 followed by Alleluia! Alleluia!! (Jn. 13:34). The Gospel Reading was taken from the Book of Matthew. 18:21-35, after that a brief reflection from the Bishop which was centered on "forgiveness and healing remedy". His Lordship urge the congregations of Ojoto community to always forgives; for who forgives, is of God, but whoever fails to forgive is not from God, and cannot received favours from God, he further said that unforgiving heart yields Anger, Wrath, Vengeance and other forms of violence. The fire from unforgiving heart consumes everyone around him, both the offender and the offended. But if forgiveness is brought to the fore, there will be healing, restoration and peace for all, especially the once who forgives. He also urge our children to always pray their Rosary. The congregations of children complained of not having Rosary and he told them to collect money from their parents and get Rosary.

The Pastoral Visitation also involved the Blessing and Opening of a New Chapel and Rectory. The Blessings and Opening of the Rectors House by His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Dennis Isiuzo the Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese. Chief Gerald promised to furnish the Rectors House, Drill Borehole for the church and also promised the sum of Four Hundred Thousand Naira Only (₦400, 000.00), for buying of Rosary to all the children in St. Peter's Catholic Parish Enugo-Ojoto. According to Chief Gerald, I quote:

"I thanks God Almighty for a privilege to be here today, as the beatitude sums up today's lesson on forgiveness, for forgiveness bring peace; Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy (Matt. 5:7). And also urge the children to pray their Rosary for the betterment of Ojoto Community. In other words, as we forgive so we shall be forgiven, just as the measure we give so is the measure we receive. The highest use of capital is not to make much money, but to make money for the betterment of life. I am donating Four Hundred Thousand Naira Only, (₦400, 000.00) for buying of Rosary for all the children in St. Peter's Catholic Parish Enugo-Ojoto in order for them not to collect money from their parents to buy Rosary. I will also furnish the Rectors House and Drill Borehole for the church, because the purpose of life is to make use of what God has given to us especially for the betterment of others."


The Anniversary which experienced Dance performance, Speech presentation, Award presentation and others was light up with a superlative performance by St. Peters Catholic Choir and Rock of Ages Band at St. Peters Catholic Church CWO.

Hon. Festus Obierike Dynasty presented some gifts on behalf of Senator Annie Okonkwo. The donation was two cows as part of Senator's appreciation to his Lordship. His Lordship said he will like to have a hand shake with Senator Annie Okonkwo in his next visit and noted that Ojoto Community are friendly people.

His Lordship thank the CWO members, Planning Committee Members, Parish Councilors, Parish Statutory Bodies, Zone Statutory Bodies, Religious Societies, Building Committee Chairmen, Financial Committee Members, Laity Council Officers, Pastoral Visit Planning Committee, Works and Security Subcommittee, Brochure Mobilization Committee, Financial Subcommittee, Entertainment Subcommittee, Distinguished Donors for the establishment of St. Peter's Catholic Church Ojoto. With heart full of joy, he also give thanks in a special way to the family of Chief Sir and Lady Francis Okonkwo (KSM) for building a Chapel for the church, Chief Emeka Ilonze (Nkpume Ojoto) for constructing church building and others who has contributed in making St. Peters great. In Conclusion, his Lordship encourage peace and also tell the Catholics faithful to embrace peace in their life and extend it to Ojoto community and Nigeria at large.
