Source: http://transenergize.com/2017/09/23/an-electric-bus-just-broke-the-world-record/ US-based electric bus manufacturer, Proterra, just set a new record for the greatest distance traveled by an electric vehicle. Proterra upgraded its 40-foot Catalyst E2, now called ‘Catalyst E2 max‘, with a massive 660 kWh battery pack and brought it to the track at the Navistar Proving Grounds in New Carlisle, Indiana, to test it. The Navistar Proving Grounds in Indiana noted that the vehicle covered a long distance of 1,772.2 kilometers (1,101.2 miles) before its battery pack ran out of power. This sets a new record for the longest distance traveled by an electric vehicle on a single charge.
