The heart is indeed the chamber of live in most mammals and animals if not all.Any sensitive damage to the heart and one is gone.
Therefore as the world celebrate this special feature of a man’s life,NijaBlog shall be bringing to your awareness some sensitive facts about the heart you may not know.

1.<b>he land animal with the largest heart is the giraffe</b>
Many will want to argue this because though an average giraffe is tall esp. from the neck upwards thereby being the tallest terrestrial animal,it size is still somehow not robust unlike animals like rhinoceros,elephants e.t.c but nevertheless giraffes are still the land animals with the largest heart.

2.<b>The sea animal with the largest heart is the blue whale</b>
I believe this shouldn’t be argued taking into consideration it size as the largest animal on earth and others but nevertheless God/Nature never gave the biggest heart to any animal according to their size but rather according to their effectiveness,workload e.t.c.The blue whale heart is over 400 pounds pumping ten tonnes of blood into a body that is over 200 tonnes and it is as large as a small automobile,an adult human can even crawl through it arteries.the whale also has the biggest heart of all animals.

3.<b>Fairy flies are the animals with the smallest heart</b>
Yes insects have hearts though nothing compare to the normal human heart but it still carries out it function i.e pumping blood.
So fairy flies which is approximately 0.2 millimetres long is the animal with the smallest heart.The heart consist of a narrow tube in the insect back that pump blood to the head.

4.<b>Women hearts beat faster</b>
Beating at a rate of 78 times per minute,a woman’s heartbeat is faster than that of a man beating at a rate of 70 times per minute but at conception,both beats at same rate.

5.<b>When you sneeze,your heart stops</b>
It is widely believe by some experts that whenever you sneeze especially heavily, your heart stops while others believe that it is just a myth arguing that the heart never stops.

6<b>The first heart transplant was performed by a South African</b>
At the Groote shuur hospital on 3rd December,1967,the first heart transplant in the world was performed by Dr. Christian Bernard,who was trained in the university of Capetown and was successful though the patient,Mr Louis Washkansky who received the heart from a 25 year old South African woman who fatally injured in an accident,Mrs. Denise Danvall lived for only 18 days after the transplant by succumbing to pneumonia but that day will still remain very memorable in human history.
