5 Reasons You Should Get The HPV Vaccine Now! by clans(f): 12:10pm On Sep 30, 2017
The Human Papilloma Virus( HPV) is one of the easily contracted sexually transmitted infection. Below are my 5 reasons why you should get a vaccine NOW!!!

1. IT IS SO COMMON

HPV is so common that almost every sexually active person will have it at some point in their lives (scary!!). If you are lucky it goes away on its own but if it doesn’t go away it can cause genital warts and cancer. Most cases of cervical cancer has been traced to HPV including cancer of the vulva, vagina, penis, anus and tongue.

2. THE EARLIER THE BETTER

The vaccine is effective if taken before an infection, so it is highly recommended for young girls between the ages of 11 and 12. After all most children at this age have not started getting involved in sexual activities abi?

3. KILL 2 BIRDS WITH 1 STONE( VACCINE)

if you get the vaccine you are immune from the 2 types of HPV that causes about 70% of all pre-cancer and cervical cancer. It also protects against genital warts.

4. IT IS RECOMMENDED

Though girls as young as 9 years old can take the vaccine, it is highly recommended for females ages 13 to 15 up to 26 years and for males who are between the ages of 9 and 26.

5. CHEATING PARTNERS

Yeah you are in a monogamous relationship with your significant other but let’s be honest, a lot of people would end up cheating on their partners at least once in their life time, and this may not be a safe sex. So protect yourself!! get the vaccine!!!

Regular cervical cancer screening and follow ups can prevent cervical cancer. The use of condoms lower your chances of getting infected but you can also contact the virus from those areas not covered by a condom. So people condoms are not totally safe against HPV. Go and get a vaccine NOW!!!
