I get where you're tryna go with this, but Gotham City is not actually a gospel song a choir should minister "in church".

There are numerous songs about the 'Heavenly city' as a director it is your duty to do your research and build your repertoire of songs.

Lyric is clean yes.. The message is passed yes. But that's not the kinda food you'd expect a director to serve a congregation "in church".

Every song has it's place and context.

No. It's inappropriate, you can sing the national anthem instead.

Where is Gotham city?
What does it symbolize?
What message is the song passing across (summary)?

Its like saying:
I heard a nursary rhyme and I love it: can we sing Jack and Jill went up the Hill in church?

Gotham city is related to "Bat Man's" city where justice is served against the "Bad guys".

The lyrics may be clean but spiritually nonsensical!
