CONTROLLER GENERAL FIRE SEEKS AFFILIATION OF NATIONAL FIRE ACADEMY WITH NIGERIAN DEFENCE ACADEMY
The Controller General of the Federal fire Service, Engr. Joseph Garba Anebi, led senior Officers of the Service to the Nigerian Defence Academy to seek the affiliation of the National Fire Academy with Nigerian Defence Academy.
He was received by the Deputy Commandant of Nigerian Defence Academy AVM O.S Ntukogu.
The Controller General disclosed that the purpose of the visit was to seek affiliation of the NFA with NDA and enable the NFA run Post Graduate Diploma and master’s degree programmes in disaster management. While expressing his desire to collaborate with the NDA, the Controller General stressed that the affiliation will broaden the sphere of the Academy in the areas of research, programme development and exchange of resources.
In his response the AVM O.S Ntukugo commended the effort of the Service which he said will help in building the capacity of Firemen while enhancing their competence in disaster management.
He assured the Controller General of the Nigerian Defence Academy’s readiness to collaborate with the National Fire Academy. The Deputy Commandant stressed that the NDA has adequate infrastructure, seasoned Professors and Scholars with attributes of kindness, timeliness, and discipline acquired from the military which has produced several leaders of our great Nation Nigeria.
