The senior special assistant to the president on job creation and youth empowerment, Mr. Afolabi Imokhuede had a Facebook live chat session on Thursday 5th October 2017 to update all Nigerians on the status of the npower social investment program of the federal government of Nigeria. The senior special assistant addressed issues bordering on the list of successful applicants for the 2017 npower program, all you need to know about npower existing beneficiaries payment issues, npower tablet/device distribution issues and the deployment of successful applicants for the npower non graduate category of 2016.

Lagos volunteers were only verified in February and start getting payments from February. Besides, many of the Lagos volunteers have not been deployed yet are being paid!

4. YOUR NPOWER DEVICE IS A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PROPERTY. If you sell it, you are stealing/selling a federal government property. This is because you are on asset finance for 20 months from the bank of industry (BOI). As at october 2017, you are in your 11th month therefore the device is not yet your own. It is at the end of the 20th month that the device becomes your own. With the aid of the tracking tool on your device, if it is detected that you have sold your device, then a lien will be placed on your account to recover the ninety thousandd naira (N90,000) value of the device (N4,500 x 20 = N90,000) and you will also be prosecuted. A stern warning is therefore issued to those that intend to sell to desist from such and if you have done so, you should retrieve the device.
