I just read an article on goal.com and there was a list of 10 overrated players in Europe Miguel Veloso Rio Ferdinand Sergio Busquets Steve Mandanda Robert Aquafresca Theo Walcott Gael Clichy Personally I agree with this list and would put some dishonourable mentions like Sebastian Giovinco, Glen Johnson, Steven Gerrard, Amauri, Carles Puyol and Robinho On the flipside, my top 10 underrated players Steven Pienaar Javier Zanetti Ahmed Hassan Darren Fletcher Marcos Senna Landon Donovan Gonzalo Higuain Sebastien Frey Who did I leave out? |

Overrated: Carles Puyol (Grossly overrated) Gerrard (Great white hype) Busquets Jeremy Toulalan (He's lost all the energy of his youth) Mauro Camoranesi Kenwyne Jones Sidney Govou (dont know why he still makes France squads intermittently) Miguel Veloso Glen Johnson Sergio Aguero (shouldnt start ahead of Higuain and Milito) Underrated: Branislav Ivanovic (Most underrated defender in footie) Giorgio Chiellini Michael Ballack (underrated in EPL) Kevin Kuranyi (Great hold up forward - perfect for 4-5-1 formation) Gervinho Daniel De Rossi Michael Dawson (Brilliant passer for a centre-back) Steve Pieenar Gonzalo Higuain (underrated by Perez) Diego Milito (underrated by Argentina) Borja Valero (being played as DM at West Brom left him unfairly tagged as a weakling) Santi Cazorla Silvestre Varela Nicholas Anelka |
