lilfreezy: Well Nigeria is not structure in a way that business BrianBox and entrepreneur could survive with sound innovation. If you had big idea, sourcing fund is big deal, Banks who suppose to aid will refuse for all reason. The only business that will quickly reach profitability in Nigeria is food/agric business and Rendering Services, unike most of the Biz listed in the OP which could be between 3%-15 net profit, and if your input is low, the gain cant even sustain you 6 Likes |

If you are not disciplined with money and time, you can't run any of the Businesses listed by the OP successfully. A lot of people are already running many of the businesses mentioned but a good number of them are not really successful entrepreneurs. You can't be running a business and spending profits made on bills, transport fare etc. How many people actually reinvest profits and money made into the business? so there is the need to be disciplined and have a good business plan. 5 Likes |

Nice thread. I am sure some serious unemployed graduates will pick up one or two lessons from this thread and start something. There is no job in Nigeria. The earlier Nigerian youth realize it, the better. 1 Like |

One thing People need to realize is that there is a difference between Running a Business to take care of immediate needs, and Running a Business to make profit and grow into a larger company. Ideally, if you have not expanded your business two years after starting out, then you are just running your business to take care of yourself and family. You should have employed 2-3 people after two years in Business. And it is not about the economy. It is more about your target market and innovation in your Business. Cheers. 5 Likes |

nurshah: Lol... Sorry but I didn't pick faults, I simply pointed out how out of touch his prices were. Apart from the recharge card business, I didn't shoot down any other idea I simply pointed out it would cost more than 50k to start some of those businesses he listed. If my post killed the persons spirit then they shouldn't be venturing into business cos the realities on ground are harsher. It would be worse for someone to grab 50k, enter the market to start the ice block business and end up not being able to purchase a good deep freezer. It would be worse for someone to invest 50k in recharge cards only to sit with them for months because everybody is now recharging with *737*amount# straight from their banks.. I know where you were trying to go with your post but sorry that was not my intention. 1 Like |
