I need a professional on this
And am new on nairaland

You bought a Rottweiler/Gsd mix

Rainbow.. this dog looks good and well taken care of. Groom and feed well and also carry out obedience training. Though it's a mix I notice some Roth, mongrel and German Shepherd dog pls note am not a vet. Take my opinion with caution

Well, i can see some rott and GSD traits, but those hairs for the dude ear calls for serious concern

This is Rot/GSD mix.

Its a GSD/ Rott mix. But either d GSD or Rott are not pure breeds. Just pray the ears stand up.

who tell you say dem cheat you I owned one before trust me you cheated the guy because that dog had both the strength of a gsd a and rott it is called a designer breed

Breed finally identified as "Designer Breed(DB)" Op, case closed. Enjoy your DB!

The guy that sold it to you is right... It's a GSD but maybe the father or mother is not pure. I have a GSD, she whelp 8 and I can tell you 3 out of that 8 has standing ears as early as 4 weeks old while the others just dey there fat dey look me (lol) meanwhile my dog isn't fat just slant.

So not to worry, the ear will come up and you'll like it's beauty.

But can the dog be used for security.... Because that is the main reason why we bought it

From the looks of it it is not even a first generation mix..but it is still a dog..and a well trained ekuke is better than an ill trained exotic breed..

So local dogs are not hairy? You may need to scout for more local dogs

But it's not a local dog Sha, it's definitely a mix of either rott or gsd
