Lagos State University (LASU) will once again host the largest student idea competition: Hult Prize.

Hult Prize is a start up accelerator that awards USD1,000,000 to the team with the best ideas. Each year, the Hult Prize foundation crowd source ideas from several bright universities and colleges, of which LASU was the only state university in Sub-Saharan Africa to host a successful on-campus competition.

The best team from LASU will be taken to compete with several universities around the globe in the regionals. This year-long competition is usually tagged as a challenge every year by former US President, Bill Clinton. This year's challenge is HARNESSING THE POWER OF ENERGY TO TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF 10MILLION PEOPLE BY 2025. This challenge is quite different from others, it pushes applicants to be innovative in their thinking.
