The Minister Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, made an announcement at a press briefing in Abuja on Monday that federal government have confirmed three suspected samples of the deadly Monkeypox virus sent to Senegal for testing,

The federal government sent the samples for analysis at the World Health Organisation’s laboratory in Dakar, Senegal.
Forty three suspected cases have been reported from eight states, namely, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ekiti, Lagos, Enugu, Nasarawa, Rivers, and FCT, with Bayelsa having the highest number.

On this note ,a Medical Expert Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu the chief Executive officer, NCDC last night in an interactive program in channels television spoke about issues concerning the deadly virus, control measures and warned Nigerians against Hounding,Taunting Or Playing With Animals as this is one of the major steps in controlling of the spread of the virus.
