Residents of JIGAWA, KATSINA, KANO AND KADUNA states paid lowest price to refill a 5 kilogramme (5 kg) of cooking gas than their counterparts around the country in September, National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), said in a report.

The comparison is based on the latest“Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) Price Watch for September’’ released by the bureau, in Abuja, on Tuesday, Brand Spur Nigeria reports.

Average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) decreased by 3.98% month-on-month and -1.40% year-on-year to N1,911.44 in September 2017 from N1,990.71 in August 2017.

States with the highest average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Taraba (N2,150.00), Gombe (N2,050.00) and Abuja (N2,040.00).

States with the lowest average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Jigawa (N1,775.00), Katsina (N1,757.14) and Kaduna & Kano (N1,750.00).
