I've been here for four years, never been flagged, blocked or denied access to the facilities of this forum because I have always conformed to the rules and regulations that define the modus operandi.

I believe my account has now being flagged. Because I get banned regardless of the post or section I post in as long as it is in Science and Technology.

I made a post regarding Huawei Mate 10, 10 Pro and Porsche edition that was immediately taken down. I don't know why it was taken down.
That's what I want to understand. Huawei just did their Keynote in Munich at the CES a few hours before I made the post. I made several more posts after my 24hr ban expired yet each one gets me another 24hr ban. This includes comments and quotes.

BTW, I believe it has to do with my phantom 8 post.
My post was legitimate and even though the two people that spoke to me didn't have any right to make such demands of me, out of a big heart I considered them and modified the post to their request.

1. I'm currently doing my postgraduate research on Machine Learning in mobile devices.

2. Tecno phantom 8 was released in China 3 weeks ago and is on the shelves.

3. An East African businessman wants to purchase and retail in East Africa.

4. He was advised by my supervisor to meet me to evaluate the phone for him.

5. I asked him if it was ok if people saw it or I have to conduct tests in private (cos of ethics, I wanted to know the privacy level) and he told me it's already on the shelves in China he just wants to know if it'll get market acceptance before committing so, I should feel free.

6. I saw a post on rumours about the phone here on nairaland and I released pictures.

7. Is this not what this forum is about? Breaking news sensitive stuff etc?

8. Next thing, the two nairaland members contacted me that I should take it down it is inappropriate & that it will affect someone's job (obviously a Tecno staff).


9. Tell me how a Nigerian in Malaysia getting a device (phantom8) already on the shelves in China, posting the pictures in a Nigerian forum will affect the job of a Nigerian who is a member of that forum which has almost 2 million members?

Abeg how?

Did he post it?  (NO!)
Is he related to me?  (NO!)
Is there any contact between he and I?  (NO!)
Is it a secret device?  (NO!)
If I were to travel for the break to Nigeria,  would I be with the phone? (YES!)
Will people see it? (YES!)
Will they spread the pictures since it hasn't been sold in Nigeria yet?  (YES!)
Will it affect his job (HELL NO!)
Matter of fact, if I dash it to the security man working for Tecno will the security man be sacked? (NEVER!)
What is the correlation between my post and any Tecno staff or promoter?

Of course I knew immediately that their reasons for wanting it down were due to vested interest cos I checked their posts (both of them) and they are all about Tecno phones, maybe they have royalty or something which I put at risk. Yet, I smiled and left it at that. Because I wouldn't want to affect someone else's way of earnings for any reason. And I took down my post in good faith and with a good heart that I'm helping someone.

From that moment, suddenly every post I make in the Science and Technology section is automatically deleted and I'm banned for 24 hrs, why? I made several posts on the Mate 10, Pro and Porsche, then I tried making a post regarding HP computers, then I tried commenting on posts - all these actions get me a ban. I have to wait for the ban to end and the little I post after that ban will also get me a ban and deletion of whichever action I did.

The only thing I can do without issue is reading posts.


I sent a mail to the mods of that section on these accusations which they have refused to respond to.

I'll not accept being victimised. My first post was right and conformed to all NL rules.

This is what is wrong with this country, if everyone should be autocratic how on earth can we survive? I'm an educator if I do this to your relative illegally denying him/her graduation isn't it wrong? What of a medical personnel that'll unlawfully deny a person attention for personal reasons?
You people keep shouting government when you are the ones killing this country.
Little power you have in a forum and you are wrongly and unethically playing God.
But when they say police, politician, civil servant..... You start shouting murder forgetting it's people with your tendencies that get into those positions and do what you are now doing only, at a higher level.


I know a few seconds after I post this, it'll be taken down and I'll get another ban.

Hmm...if what you acclaimed was true..then i don't think it should be swept under d floor..

It just hurts that every post in Science & Tech will get me a ban and I know the reason is to deny me access cos I found out that the official launch will be on 22nd. After ceding to their demands, they feel they have to do this.

I just made a post on phones section, it's still on; 20 minutes and counting. I spoke with one of the people and she said she didn't talk to the MODs about it (& I don't have reason to doubt her) but I told her I believe the other person did.

Hopefully, they've realised it was wrong and decided to let me be which came at a good time cos I had already sent mails to some bloggers about the info with a review on the phone of which some have asked for the information. Now I'm at a bridge; on one hand, I don't want to hold back and the bloggers might think of lied or I need something in the future and they take me unserious. On the other hand, the person that pleaded with me assured me that she didn't talk to the MODs & I do think want to break my promise to her.
