The federal government on Thursday was urged by the Green Chambers to increase tax on tobacco as a means of curbing smoking. This followed a motion moved by Sergius Ogun representing (Edo-Apc), who expressed concern on the health implication of smoking which he said accounted for over seven million deaths globally. He further explained that he move was in view of public health and a means of assisting government generate revenue. He also encouraged the ban on tobacco advertorials.
