FG sacks Maina again, probes reinstatement

The controversy trailing the reabsorption of former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Mr Abdullahi Abdulrasheed Maina took a new twist today.

A statement made available to Irohinoodua indicated that President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the immediate disengagement from service of Mr Abdullahi Abdulrasheed Maina, former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms.



In a memo to the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, the President equally demanded a full report of the circumstances of Maina's recall and posting to the Ministry of Interior.



The report is to be submitted to the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, before the end of work today, Monday, October 23, 2017. according to the Presidency.

Mr Maina has chains of corruption charges against him but was brought in to continue the job that had led to his sack, following corruption allegations.

This morning, the media aide of the President, Mr Femi Adesina in his statement said the Presidency has instituted a memo to the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation demanding for full report on how the sacked official was reabsorbed. Maina was involved in pension biometric scam runnng into 2 billion naira.
