An Enugu bound indigenous flight, Air Peace, was forced to spend hours before take-off at Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos after passengers raised concerns over a smoke that had enveloped the atmosphere within the plane.

It was gathered that the passengers, who had witnessed series of plane crashed in the country, started panicking when the smoke from the plane with flight number P4 7100, which should have subsided after few seconds, remained active.

With the smoke not ready to subside, it was learned that the passengers suggested that preparation for take-off be aborted for technical experts to examine its status before the journey.

Apparently not satisfied with alleged lack of information on the smoke that had rented the atmosphere, sources disclosed that the passengers alerted an air hostess identified as Margaret, to inform the captain of their observation before the journey, which often takes about an hour, commences.

A passenger (name withheld) hinted that another passenger who sat at the rear of the airplane perceived the smoke in the cabin and complained to the nearest air hostess.
