Salford City goalkeeper Max Crocombe was sent off and reported to police for urinating on the field during a football match. The bizarre incident happened in the closing stages of a Vanarama National League North clash at Horsfall Stadium. There was confusion over why the shot-stopper was given his marching orders by the referee, with both clubs taking to Twitter. Opponents Bradford Park tweeted: "86' - RED CARD! This is bizarre. I'll need to be educated on what the rules say but since the Ref gave him a straight red card then Ref is most likely in order. |
