Handmade soap production has always been the desire of all and sundry. The reason is that, homemade soap has not only been proved to often improved skin, but also offering its users a relieve inter of skin itchiness, dryness and other conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and acne. The desire of everyone is to have a healthy skin and making use of homemade soap is the best way to go.

Homemade Soap Production has always been though to be reserved for the experts due to various combinations of chemical ingredients. But homemade soap production is not a rocket science and it doesn’t have to be. Homemade soap production has always been a great source of income for low income earners who has crossed the barriers of procrastination and become a startup entrepreneur.

In this article, i will expose you to a simple process of homemade soap production along with the precise measurement that will give you your desired outcome
Homemade Soap Production Process
Ingredients needed for homemade soap production

caustic soda -1 kg
soda ash -1 kg
sodium silicate -1kg
colour -1 gram
perfume – 1 litre
palm kernel oil (P.K.O) – 1 litre

Procedures for homemade soap production

Step 1

Get a clean 4 litre of water into a clean plastic bucket (not iron bucket).

Step 2

pour the Caustic soda (1kg) first, stir it and then soda ash (1kg)into the 4 litre of water inside the plastic bucket and stir very well so as to mix completely and ensure that the stirring is either clockwise or anticlockwise as the case may be ( But Not Any How) continuously with a dry wooden stick/ladle.

Step 3

Leave or allow the mixture in the plastic bucket for 2 to 3 hour to cool down.

Step 4

Pour your sodium silicate (1kg) into the mixture in the plastic bucket and stir it in the same direction, that is, clockwise or anticlockwise so as to mix well.

Step 5

Then pour your colour (1 gram) and perfume (1 litre) into the mixture and stir very well in the same direction.

Step 6

Finally pour palm kernel oil (P.K.O) (Litre) into the existing mixture and stir in the same direction you started with that is clockwise or anticlockwise for at least ten (10)to fifteen (15) minutes.

Step 7

Leave or allow for ten (10) minutes and pour into a mould of your choice and leave it there for between 12 to 24 hours to solidify. Hence your tablet soap is ready for consumption or use.
A note of caution while doing your homemade soap production

Please kindly keep all chemical away from children. Ensure that your stirring kept on the same the same direction that is, either clockwise or anticlockwise till you finish the production or else you will get a bad production.
