So this is ur answer. When MTN started, they used thesame codes for normal recharge and booster card recharge. The only difference was, *555.1 wait for normal recharge while *556*2 was for booster card. The booster card was stopped, leaving only the normal recharge process |

The *555* was introduced for easy recharging. They felt the *1* was a bit nonsense so they had to change it. |
