The iPhone X went officially on sale today, and a man who spent three days camped outside London’s Regent Street Apple Store for the new iPhone X went home empty handed today – after he ‘overspent in the casino’.

The man, who has not been named, was first in the line outside the shop in Regent Street, London.

He had joined the queue ahead of reality star Marco Pierre White Jr on Tuesday.

According to The Metro, Apple had decided yesterday to give those outside the store wristbands which allowed them an hour away from the queue to warm up, grab a bite to eat, do some stretches. The man in question, however, decided he’d rather take a trip to the casino.

And in that hour, the man reportedly wasted all of the money he had ready to buy Apple’s iPhone X… in the casino.

Therefore Marco Pierre White Jr, the son of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White, who was 2nd in the queue officially became the first owner of the iPhone X in the UK (despite already having one at home).

He said: “I ended up number one in the queue! My friend didn’t have enough money so he bleeped off back home.

“He overspent in the casino last night and so I ended up first.”
