When emergency room doctors at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital went to check the heart rate of a 48-year-old man involved in a motorcycle crash, they couldn't find it. One CAT scan and an X-ray later, and the problem was clear: his heart had moved 90 degrees to the right.
Needless to say, not good. And it's also rare. But surprisingly, it's not the crash that caused his heart to move to the other side of his body – it was air.
During the crash the rider broke several ribs, puncturing his lungs and releasing air into his chest. That pressure caused his heart to shift and move over, but once doctors released the air, his heart slid back into place.
"What's unique about this case is the way the heart rotated so far in the other direction," Dr. Gregory Fontana of Lenox Hill told Live Science. "And the patient was still awake and alert."

He prayed and his heart shifted position from left to right

He was named John Nelson Hyde,an American missionary to India,he prayed to the point that he was nicknamed 'Praying Hyde'. According to the account i read about this rear man of prayer,he has been seen praying for 30 days and nights or 10 days on end or remain on his knees for 36 hours without moving.

Towards the end of his journey on earth,in 1910,during a particular revival meeting days which he had with fellow Christians,he was reported to have been suffering from fever. He was later compelled to see a Doctor.
''The heart is in a serious condition,'' said the physician after examination of the patient. ''This is the most serious case i have ever run across. Your heart has been shifted out of its natural position on the left side to a place on the right. Through stress and strain,it is in such a bad condition that it will require months of strictly
quiet life to bring it back again to anything like its normal size'' That to John was a head bending blow,for his schedule called for an active ministry of evangelism. He listened as the doctor continued:
''what have you been doing with yourself? Unless you change your whole life and give up strain,you will have to pay the supreme penalty within 6 moths''

He went home to America where a malignant brain tumour was discovered, and died there, after an operation, in February 1912, aged 46.

His last words were "Shout the victory of Jesus Christ!"
