Gareth Bale is one of the players who might be leaving Real Madrid during the winter transfer window and reports according to the Daily Express have claimed that Chelsea have made an approach for the Man United long term target.

Bale is a quality player but he has had to battle countless injuries which have done him no good.

He was one-time the most expensive player following his transfer from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid on a deal worth €100 million.

Chelsea and Manchester United are monitoring situation with the player. José Mourinho will be hoping to bring Bale back to England.

Antonio Conte will count on Morata, who played alongside Gareth Bale while he was at Real Madrid to convince the forward to sign for Chelsea despite interest from Manchester United.

Gareth Bale is currently on an injury setback which he picked up while playing for Wales in an International Friendly Match.

Speaking to reporters concerning the rumour, former United striker Terry Gibson advised the Spanish side to be patient with the player whose quality is never in doubt.

“I don’t think they’ve got any choice but to be patient with him. With a player like Gareth, they’ve got a real asset when he’s fit,” he said.

He also believes that Manchester United and Chelsea are taking a great risk by wanting to sign an injury-prone player to a league that requires much strength and physical contacts.

Both teams will return to action on Saturday as Manchester United take on Newcastle United while Chelsea face West Brom.

Bale is currently valued at 90,00 Mill. € according to transfermarkt.
