Serena Williams is definitely having one amazing year. The 23-time grand slam winner continued her winning streak while rocking up to her wedding reception in crystal-studded Nike Cortez sneakers.

In a French-inspired fairytale wedding to Reddit-founder Alexis Ohanian, Williams stepped out in a Sarah Burton-designed Alexander McQueen wedding gown among a star-studded audience. The New Orleans wedding soon got decked out as Williams changed into a Versace dress and some unique kicks for her wedding reception.

Captured by photographer Allan Zepeda, Williams matched her Versace cocktail number with a pair of crystal-covered Nike Cortez sneakers, forgoing the traditional bridal stiletto. Earlier this year, Nike formed an official partnership with Swarovski, resulting in similar custom footwear for golfer Michelle Wie.

Although it’s unknown whether they were requested, it’s likely the decorative shoes were gifted considering Williams’ long-term professional partnership with the sports brand.
