Just wrote this little amateur poetry, just trying to improve my writing. For those that have gone and are still going through hard times, I want you to know you're not alone in it. God is there and he'll never forsake you even when it feels like it... Your comments are highly appreciated. Don't mind if it's not as you expected, with time I hope to improve.. . . . . Here it goes.. . . . And so I'm back again Like the prodigal son I walked away In pain and confusion I cried all day Not finding comfort in any way You tried to talk to me and assure me that you were there But still I refuse to succumb to your care I preferred to wallow in my tears Crying all day and being hunted by my fears Never have I had such a feeling A feeling that pulled me back from your canopy Making me feel useless like a statue Tearing my heart, shattering it into pieces Everything happens for a reason I always said But when my time came to accept this saying I turned away For a moment there I thought I was insane Allowing this dumb statement rule my day And then the veil fell from my eyes This was just a blessing in disguise God had a great plan for me I realized He just wanted to test my trust for a start And so I smiled at my old self That dude was wiser than I am He had always kept that saying in mind That everything happened for a reason |
