1. Dr Alex Ekwueme was born on the 21st October 1932, He held from Anambra State South Eastern part of Nigeria.

2. He was the first elected vice president of Nigeria (1979-1983).

3. Before His death he was the IDE of Oko Kingdom ( Orumba North LGA) Anambra State where his brother is the traditional ruler ( Eze Ijikala ) Prof Lazarus Nnnanaelu Ekwueme.

4. He had his primary education at the St John’s Anglican Central School in Ekwulobia after which he proceeded to Kings college Lagos.

5. He also attended the University of London, University of Strathelyde and University of Washington.
