It was annoying for me when i heard the DG of SMEAN say that "only one out of every 100 nigerian youth is employable".oga
,whats that supposed to mean nah?.taking a swipe at the students as been responsible for the high rate of unemployment in nigeria is not charitable and uncalled for.

As far as am concerned, unemployment in Nigeria is primarily a problem of failed leadership.the failure of our graduates to possess the pre requisite skill set and entreprenural competence is due to our university system, and the failure of our university to produce competent graduates is due to bad leadership, let the govt argue with themselves,am not feeling fine..

Compare our engineering students with MIT students, while their students embark on yearly internship at companies during their 5year course, our own students spend their time only inside classrooms learning theoretical aspect of the course and yet expect them to be above their Counterparts.Little wonder, our prospective post graduate study students keep getting rejected by foreign universites

the inability of our govt to equip our institutions for them to invest heavily in research and development has prevented them from functioning optimaly.thz results to the chunning out of half baked graduates.so i wonder what the govt was expecting..instead of blaming graduates, they should try and work out how they can salvage our educational institutions.

I agree Nigerian graduates are unemployable but the figure the foolish man puts forward is faulty. Only one in 2m graduates is employable and those ones are the children of the leaders.

Nigerian graduates are only good at house helps and cheap labour. 1yr sentence for going to school punishable by community service and another 2years of cheap labour for wasting government's time.

I wonder where the DG got his statistics and fact from. Well, its no news anymore that the only available jobs are got by the children of the rich and connected. See this in a way, most of our so called leaders, where do they get their qualifications from, is it not the same school that most went to yet they want us to believe that our institution do not produce the right candidate cus of their leadership failure to make things work.
