D Bayelsa State Police Command don arrest three suspects wey get hand for d death of one Magam Elvis wey be student of d University of Uyo during elections for coordinators of d National Union of Nigerian Students (NANS) wey bin hold for d Federal University Otuoke over d weekend.

D police follow confam say dem get for dia custody eight students including Bayelsa NANS President, Perewari Benjamin as him bin dey involved for armed robbery and cultism.

State Commissioner of Police, Mr Asuquo Amba wey parade d suspects on Monday for d Command headquarters yan say e det very bad say elections wey dem bin wan do for NANS coordinators kon turn bloody.

According to am, for situation where students wey dey represent universities and higher institutions for d South- South zone kon dey use fire arms wey lead to d death of one student and students kon dey involve diaself for robbery against innocent citizens’ call for great concern.

Amba say him dey very disappointed based on say even as dem deploy plenty security go d venue of d elections, dem bin still fit smuggle firearm wey kon kill another student, while another one escaped.

Him say dem arrest five suspects wey be Akpan Esuabanga Okon, Aaron Wisdom, Duff Gabriel Enyeneokpan, Etefia Otobong Harrison with Akwaoso Uwankmfon and say all of dem na University of Uyo students as dem bin wan kill one Tonye Samuel of University of Port Harcourt during NANS registration for FUO.

“ On Sunday, d Command bin deploy 11 patrol teams kon join with d Army/NSCDC/Otuoke Vigilantee/ University Internal security go FUO premises to go provide security for d NANS national elections. D Vice- Chancellor, FUO, Prof Accra Seth Jaja bin don addres all d students say make dem dey law abiding and say only delegates wey don dey accredited go fit enter d hall for d elections. Later na so we hear gunshot from d crowd outside d hall. Na so one Magam Elvis of University of Uyo die as a result of bullet wound injury. Dey don carry him body go put for mortuary for autopsy. Dey don arrest three suspects, Emmanuel Ebere, Obiakarije Innocent and Inbong Okon Ben for suspected murder”

Amba follow yan say Benjamin wey be NANS Bayelsa Presido, with seven other suspects from Niger Delta University, wey be Asari Enagob, Suoguai Bina, Ibe Ogbonna, Igbanibo Tari, Ekperi Kenneth, Kemefie Ebimene and Chukuma Lawrence from Imo State Polytechnic hijack one commercial vehicle from Ayo Kehinde, kon rob am of him Tecno phone and N50,000 cash.
