Crack Down On Nigerians In Hungary by Thor(m): 12:28pm On Mar 27, 2010
The Hungarian police have just announced a crack down on Nigerian criminal elements in Budapest, Hungary. The head of the Budapest police authority BRFK said that they have been monitoring the activities of several African fractions in the capital city Budapest for several months. There is evidence of Nigerian involvement in cyber crime (419), drug dealing, falsification of travel documents and human trafficking.

Several Nigerians and one Ghanaian have already been arrested in connection with the Budapest police ongoing investigation and more arrests are though to be imminent. Using a number of internet cafes in the center of the city, it it believed that the police have been monitoring the traffic for months after being tipped off by Interpol. They have also placed several African hairdressing salons under surveillance as they are believed to be used as a front for a number of criminal activities. This latest crackdown comes weeks ahead of the general election where the right wing party Jobbik is tipped to win many seats in the Hungarian parliament. Jobbik have promised to deport the majority of Africans living in Budapest if it comes into power and prevent further immigrants and illegal aliens arriving into the country.

Hi Nairalanders! If you are a Nigerian living in Hungary and you are earning your means of livelihood legally or as a student, you will so ashame of yourself as to the extent to which most Nigerians could go to make money and subjecting their fellow Nigerian to mokery. I have been living in Hungary for more than 7 years and what I ve seen and heard is sometimes beyond my own human reasoning. Those who ve secured their residence refuse to but prefer to indulge themselves in illicit drug sale. Far right is gaining ground virtually in all European countries due to Economy crisis and present government could deal with that only with austerity measures. Nigerians who ve got a family status in Humgary ve a chance to emigrate. Please, dont let us be deluded that they are only out to get Nigerian but let us know that our actions caused that as Nigerians used to have it their own way!
