It's even worse for women that are expected to be obedient and put up with crap like infidelity all in the name of being a good wife.

Benefits of marriage for a man outweighs a woman in this part of the world. Eg:
(1)A man can cheat and still show no remorse,but a woman cant especially if u want that marriage back.
(2) A man can storm out in anger and says he needs to clear his head,literally works out on u, but when u do it na gobe.
(3)A man can ignore ur warnings/ advise on things and it is termed as been the head, when a woman does that it is called disobedience
Committment isnt an easy thing to do,marriage is sweet when u marry the one God chooses for u,go down on ur kneels and pray for that one person who is right for u cos even when u seperate or get divorced and end up marrying another person, it still doesnt guarantee peace if mind and long lasting marriage. Most pple stay longer because of the experience ,not because the honey moon stage isnt over.
Baby mamas aint easy either ,they come with there own type of headache too .
The truth is the world is evolving ,nigerians too are changing, dont go into marriage expecting our mothers kind of respect or our fathers type of financial dependency ,adding all this economic bruhaha .

Men are the ones whose loyalty diminishes and they start complaining how they can't eat one soup all the time, how they can't watch one dstv channel forever or how men are naturally polygamous. They don't even hide it cos society overlooks men cheating.
They go home to infect their wives with all sorts of stds and the woman is asked to pray for him and pack condoms in his suitcase when he is traveling. Some even have kids outside the marriage and divert funds meant for their children into taking care of the mistress outside.

It's been long I saw the victim card played like this. They don't really have anything to offer a man. Not finance, not friendship. Even the small cooking they were cooking before you can see them rebelling against it.

The only thing the man is supposed to benefit from the marriage is sex and even that is hard work for the woman. As soon as they get married their sexual libido crashes. They start to give excuses up and down, how the house chores are too much, how she's coming late from work so she can't have sex, how she has a headache so she can't have sex.
