SARS is a section of The Nigerian Police Force and it's a law enforcement agency that maintains order and curb crime, since obtaining money from someone by fraudulent means is a crime they're bound to exercise their duties....

By its very definition SARS (special anti robbery squad) has no business dealing with internet related crime as fraud internet or otherwise is not within thier purview.
I see people saying if you have nothing to hide hand them your phone et al... This attitude is what gives SARS the belief of their immunity. As a Nigerian citizen, my phone and all other items bought with personal funds is considered private property and as such not subject to random demands with the exception of the provision of a court order in the form of a search warrant.
The forceful seizure and non permitted operation of such devices without such a document makes the police liable to damage charges and this will be granted by any "COMPETENT" court of law

Yes, they are not meant to peruse ur phone, but arresting a suspected internet fraudster is one of their duties since it's a crime. Mind u they are section of the police which means same jurisdiction for them too

for those of you saying trash that it is one of sarz duties to arrest internet fraudsters,it can only be there duty to do so if there is a complainant's report(the person duped) that he/she was duped and giving out the duper's info, it is very wrong for them stopping any fresh looking guy and harassing them all in the name of arresting fraudsters.

There's nothing that can justify the actions of those robbers called sars.Let them go
