Protective styling are hairstyles that help give your hair a break from constant manipulation and it features consists of hiding the ends of the hair from damaging agents such as heat from dryers, flat combs, straighteners, and the sun, it gives the scalp a room to rest and helps to maintain hair length.

Harmattan and Winter are the seasons when protective styling becomes very important and this is because of the rapid evaporation of fluid that comes with the season causing dryness which reduces the moisture in the hair making them vulnerable and weak, further causing them to break. These seasons require an immediate change of hair care routine else, It dries out the moisture at the end of the hair, reduces moisture at the root of the hair, weakens the ends of the hair and breaks the ends of the hair leaving you with reduced hair length.
