A former senior vice president at Ubisoft who just happens to be the current head of Jerry Bruckheimer Games made his opinion pretty clear when he said "Sony is about to make the Wii obsolete" late Tuesday. Referring to the impact Sony's Playstation Move will have, Cohen said what we've all been thinking.

Sony MoveWhile Nintendo starts to think about the Wii 2 and continues milking the current generation Wii for royalties on shovel-ware, publishers have been jumping ship in droves. Electronic Arts noted its dismay following NFS Nitro's failure to move units and Ubisoft (a once major supporter of the Wii) has begun to criticize the console as of late. It's no secret that third-party publishers have been quite dissatisfied with the sales of Wii titles that don't have Mario in them.

And the high-ranking head of Bruckheimer Games raises a really good point. The PS3's new found ability to do what the Nintendo Wii can pretty much leaves Nintendo in a big heap of trouble. Nintendo obviously wants to counter with some for of innovation, but no matter what your console of choice, we all know the next step is 3D gaming, which Sony has pretty much made clear that the PS3 is capable of doing. So while Mr. Cohen thinks that Sony is about to kill the Nintendo Wii for good, it's very possible that they may have killed the next Wii already.

Tell me about it, The PSP can't touch the ds, I don't use my psp anymore but constantly on my ds, It's called consistency, SONY is just hyping up their product, they can't touch the wii, Instead of wasting out time with "playstation move" give us better games. 

Funny how every one has forgotten history so soon! The same thing happened to PS1 and PS2. PS3 is just a little above 3 years, in 10 yers it should have sold 140 million, wii 120 million, xbox360 90 million.

So how do you explain the performance of the psp to the DS? From all indications the DS rules the handheld arena from its vast library of games to quality and number of units sold.

Dude you make me switch head ohh? DS games to PSP games quality? Dude go play PSP games again. With what I can do with my PSP, my DS is still brand new and in it's Original box even the receipt is untouched talkless of the console.

@Topic, Sony can do it if they give out PS3 free to everyone in the world. Then the whole world will buy PS3 games. Let them keep dreaming!!!! Sony messed up with the PS3 big time and it's not in the hardware, it's in the marketing of the hardware. They bleeped up big time. Sony products are the best out there from digi cams to, HDTV TO what not?

I have it all but still Sony sucks on marketing. They started motion control and were too scared to release it until the success of wii. They funded Advanced 3D TV and were to scared to start it until they got the backing of Samsung which is the giant in TV. Remember blu ray didn't get the publicity it deserved until 20th century and Warners backed it up. What da fuK? They create something phenomenal and are too scared to let people know how good it is themselves until someone else does the advertising for them. They are the worst in marketing.

Sony released PS3 and expected people to just buy it cause it's a playstation brand without proper marketing. I didn't even know PS3 was out until mid August 2007. When they are far behind their competitors they started talking blah blah and started doing adverts. They are competing with a game manufactured and designed to beat the PS2 while a far worse console than PS2 is winning.

With what PS3 is, I see no reason why every gamer shouldn't have it but wait we have some egotistical manufacturer who thinks cause it's Sony the world would buy it without knowing about it. At least Microsoft knows how to steal exclusives by appealing to developers. Sony expected developers to just pick PS3 cause it's a playstation brand. Microsoft threw money at it but still they made a move to show they are in it to stay and not to release a console that will be made obsolete. You think if it was possible for God of war 3 to be put on 360 it won't? Sony owns the studio but believe if Sony didn't own the studio, we'd be singing a different song about how God of war 3 sucks just like Dante's Inferno (Geeez EA has no business ethics and decency at all can't even come up with an original story).

Verdict: Sony is a good product but what is diamond nobody can see? remain underground. Sony sucks

I'm to drunk to read your comments fully but what I can say is you shouldn't downgrade, Nintendo Wii because it doesn't appeal to you. You don't see me screaming around about how much I hate Sony?
