The Prophet Who Slit A Man’s Throat And Promised To Bring Him Back To Life In 2014, Muhammad Sabir convinced a whole crowd of followers in Pakistan that he was a prophet of God with miraculous powers. He got them to believe that he had power over death and he was so persuasive that he even convinced himself. 8. The Preacher Who Thought He Was Immune to snake Venom Kentucky preacher Jamie Coots believed that God had given him divine protection from snakebites. He made it a big part of his act. He would stand in front of his congregation with snakes in his hands, telling them that the Bible commands all Christians to “take up serpents.” The snakes didn’t exactly leave him alone. He got bit nine times, but each time, he survived because of what he believed was God’s divine intervention. He was so sure God was protecting him that when a woman in the congregation got bit, he insisted that nobody take her to the hospital, which didn’t exactly pan out because she died on the church floor. Coots, though, chalked that up to her lack of faith until he got his tenth and final snakebite in 2014. He was again so confident that God would heal him that his congregation chased away the ambulance that came to help him. But this time, God didn’t come through. Within an hour, Coots was dead. 7. The Pastor Who Crushed A Woman With A Speaker In 2016, a self-proclaimed prophet in South Africa told his followers that if Jesus could walk on water, they, too, could do anything with faith. 6. The Preacher Who Trusted God To Cover His Taxes William Miller was pretty sure the world was going to end on October 22, 1844. The colonists of America, he believed, had been sent to the New World to prepare the new kingdom of God, and Jesus would soon return. And he wasn’t the only one who believed it. He had a whole cult of people behind him. The world, of course, did not end in 1844, but one of Miller’s followers, Peter Armstrong, refused to lose faith. He became convinced that the only reason Jesus hadn't returned was because the Americans had failed to prepare an earthly sanctuary for Christ’s return. So, he spent every penny he had to buy 181 acres of land in Pennsylvania and invited Jesus to move in. To make sure the land was truly God’s land, he signed the title over to “Almighty God, who inhabiteth Eternity, and His heirs in Jesus Messiah.” When the US government came to collect property taxes, though, God didn’t pay up and they didn’t really buy into Armstrong’s argument that God didn’t need to pay. The Prophet Who Challenged A Pride Of Lions To A Fistfight Alec Ndiwane, a South African preacher, is said to have been visiting Kruger National Park in 2016 when he suddenly became convinced that the Holy Spirit had filled him the strength of Samson. He had been given the power, he declared, to kill a lion with his bare hands and he was going to prove it. Ndiwane supposedly spotted a pride of lions eating an impala and announced that he was going to take them out. Then he is claimed to have opened up the car door, stepped outside, and started charging straight at the lions. Still, Ndiwane was seriously injured and shaken. When it was all over, he was more confused than anything. 2. The Prophet Who Buried Himself Alive In 2015, Zimbabwean prophet Shamiso Kanyama believed that one of his follower’s homes was cursed by evil spirits. The family that lived there had fallen on hard times. The only way to fix them, Kanyama believed, was if he died. Kanyama would cross over to the underworld, where he could exorcise the evil spirits from the home. He ordered five of his followers to dig a pit in front of the house and bury him alive inside. Buried under the earth, he promised them, he would “gain power to drive away the evil forces” and heal their home. The family’s neighbor, who was actually sane, tried to stop them from burying the man alive, but Kanyama yelled at the man who was trying to save his life until he gave up. He told the man he was disturbing his angels and insisted his followers bury him alive, no matter who tried to stop them.Which they did. The men buried their prophet alive and then waited for him to complete his mission in the afterlife. 1. The Faith Healer Who Pretended He Could Cure Polio Jack Coe was an American faith healer. He went around the country setting up tents, preaching, and claiming he could heal the sick with the power of faith. And for years, people believed him... until he nearly killed a three-year-old boy in 1955. The little boy’s parents had brought him out to see Coe in Miami, hoping Coe could heal the child’s polio, and Coe was pretty confident he could. He told the boy to take off his leg braces and walk. Then he told his congregation to rejoice. The boy had been cured! Except that he hadn’t. The boy still had polio, and struggling to walk without braces made it much worse. The boy was now in constant pain and was sicker than ever. Coe was arrested and charged with practicing medicine without a license, but the case was dismissed because in Florida, faith healers were exempt from the law. Coe nearly got away scot-free, until something happened that’s hard not to chalk up to divine intervention. Nearly immediately after the suit was dismissed, Coe contracted polio himself. Lolz that's good ... I read all . and I got the main point ... You said maybe miracles don't happen after all I will prove the error of these people to you 1) miracles can't be propagated or performed by any man The people that did miracles in the Bible didn't do it as if they were God I e they wouldnt go here and there and be perform miracles like our faith teachers 2) they only heal when they are told to heal ....... Healing is not a gift inherent or living in the apostles. It was done by God through them that's why if God wasn't willing to heal anyone they could do nothing 3) the prove of this is that there were good Christians in Paul's time who were sick who he didn't heal ..... They were men loved by Paul and Paul would heal them if he had the power inherent in him .... So any man who tell you he can do miracles is a lier or he is just deluded ... I don't say there are no miracles done through people .... I say miracles can't be done by people when they will its a deception to do miracle when you will YOU CAN'T DO MIRACLES AS YOU WILL |

Ferisidowu: Nice perspective. But then again i believe there is a huge misconception of how these so called miracles actually work. Miracles are a thing of the mind. If you believe in something so much that you think its real, then that thing will be real to you.. but really its just an illusion in real life. Why do most big churches screen members before allowing them to be in the part of the congregation where the men of God can see them? Why do they make sure only people with certain type of light issues or illnesses are allowed in and those with extremely serious issues are kept in a different place? if you haven't been to most Famous miracle churches before, i have and i know how these things work.. its all a farce! its All Mind control and Nothing more!! The day any so called Man of God does a miracle were an amputee Re-Grows back his hand or any visible part of the body is Regrown back on live camera, Then i will Believe miracles are truly Real. MrMystrO:In all of these people's charades, what purpose wld it have served if their acts delivered? Like the man who picks up snakes. Did Jesus said we should look for snakes to pick up? As a matter of fact, the snakes implied there aren't even literal snakes. What Jesus meant is, if our enemies attacks us by any of these means, we won't be hurt. But, anyone who goes to pick up snakes or drink up poison is on his own, that's not what we are told to do. The three Hebrew Kids didn't jump into the Fiery Furnace, Daniel didn't jump into the Lions Den, Apostle Paul didn't pick up a viper in Malta, just to show power. All the cases here which almost all were magicians were out to show power and Christians don't show power, because the power is not theirs. BTW, you forgot to mention D Lawrence the NEW AGER, who said, like Christ he will die and resurrect after three days. As at then Astral projection was not as known as it became later, he went into astral projection and after three days he was coming out of it, but thunder kill am straight. He would have held people captive claiming he was another Jesus Christ. Only for people to know what Astral projection was later on. |

Nice one op, there are many occasions in which people should have learn and realized that what they badly needed could never become reality, even when there has been lots of fails they still choose to ignore with sentiments, fear and personal emotions, some would prefer to live and die blindly while their heart signals for freedom everytime, People are so compromised to an extent that an experience of failures is their pure reason to stronger faith, and the main problem is that they don't know that they don't know they have a problem, they see people trying to show them facts as temptation which they must encounter according to their religiousbook and as well most be overcomed |

Only coincidences can help miracles. Medicine is the best option for cure. But whenever medicine fails, meditation is the key. Then if meditation fails you, then put your mind at rest and watch how things pan out. Since I stepped out of religion, I haven't had any reason to pray to get anything done, but the power of coincidence has favoured me in many ways. Were it to be a christian fellow, he would term all good coincidences as miracles and all bad coincidences as spiritual attacks. Hmm  |

MrMystrO:So miracles are mind control? How was my mind controlled to make me walk after involving in a near dead accident which left me with a leg which the doctors were eager to amputate? For 10 whole yrs, i used Crutches, walking without aid today is a miracle even i didn't quite believe will happen, but Christ did it. The doctors are still amazed how i can walk after everything. You know! you must not believe. Not everybody is meant to believe anyways. There's a performance of the Spoken Word of God to those who believe. "To those who believe, not to those who doubt".
