A Private Jet belonging to Vistajet has been robbed at the Murtala Muhammed Airport(MMA) in Lagos. The Jet with Registration number 9H-VFA operated by EAN was attacked on Runway18R by unknown Bandits while it was taxiing to the Hangar of EAN ltd.(Evergreen Apple Nigeria). The jet was arriving from Istanbul between 2110-2130hrs after landing in Lagos.

PoliticsNGR gathered that the pilot of the Jet, Captain Emma Heering noticed that the rear door of the aircraft was opened while taxiing into the Hangar. It was later discovered that a big bag belonging to an Airhostess, Francesca Louis was missing.

An Eyewitness told sahara reporters; "What actually happened was that when the aircraft was taxiing to the hangar of EAN, the cabin crew discovered that the rear door was opened. So, when the jet taxied to the hangar, it was discovered that one big black bag belonging to their air hostesses was missing. An alarm was raised, but no one could trace the bandit who had forced the door open while taxiing."

According to sources, this was not the first time such an incident was occurring at the airport. Earlier this year, a band of thieves opened the door of a small aircraft and absconded with the belongings of some occupants.

It was later discovered that the affected Jet VT584 was not escorted by any operational vehicle at the time of the crime which made it possible for the bandits to escape.

Correct!

All doors of a moving aircraft are sealed shut by a set of pneumatics controlled by hydraulic valve pressures. You can only deactivate the seal from release latches in the interior.

Even when the aircraft come to a standstill and parked, the doors are still not operable from outside unless first released from inside. This is a security process enforced many years ago when air hijacks was rampant.

There is a over-ride from outside but accessible only by emergency and security authorities.

So I agree with you, this needs to be inspected closely. What was in that air hostess bag, and who is she in her personal life?

Then it means the alleged robbery was a scene from a Nollywood movie script. Do they think everyone who hears the story will swallow it hook, line and sinker without asking questions?
