The Super Eagles of Nigeria are now the 51st best football team according to FIFA's new rankings which were released on Thursday.

Nigeria has also dropped to 9th in Africa and this is despite Nigeria's good performance in recent games.

World Cup host, Russia are well below Nigeria as they are ranked 64th

The top 10 football teams now include:


1. Germany

2. Brazil

3. Portugal

4. Argentina

5. Belgium

6. Spain

7. Poland

8. Switzerland

9. France

10. Chile

What is Switzerland doing there and Chile that cant even qualify for world cup

Surprising...would have bet on Nigera making it into the top 5 considering their stellar performance in world cup qualifies. Well guess African teams have upped their game.
