LGI could have helped to prevent the extension. You should have spoken to him before things got out of hands. The LGI will just ask for a token and all will be swept under the carpet.

if you miss one month clearance, its 2 months extension. If you miss 2 clearance, you will get four month extension. That means you missed 2 clearance and that is why you got 4 months
