Governor Simon Bako Lalong has declared a cash reward of 1.5million and a piece of land in the state for each member of the victorious Plateau United squad. On Thursday, 21st, December, Governor Lalong hosted a dinner at the banquet hall of the new government house to honor the newly crowned champions Plateau United. In his speech the governor said he has approved the raise in the players payment package. The Governor announced a N30million reward from the 17 LGAs and a N50million reward from the state totaling the some of N80million which will see each football player getting 1.5million. The coaching staff, management staff, supporters club and sports bodies will have various sums to share between them.
