LASU admission has always been based on post-ume test(75%) and O'level (25%).But prerequisite for you to sit for the post-ume test is the minimum of 200 in UME.So,there is nothing new about this.Did the VC say an applicant can write lasu post-ume test with any(or less than 200) score in jamb?

xvrybdy knws dat 200 is d min score u must hav for u to write der post -ume . b 4,yur jamb score,0'level,post-ume constitute 25%,25%,50% respectively , but in 2007,d vc prof hussein annouce dat dey dont hav trust in jamb exam again and e eventually order dat post ume shud constitute 75% while 25% for o'level but u need to score at least 200 in yur jamb exam.

Yeah but are you OK? Please look at your tenses before posting. Most often you make sense but grammar turns one off.While for the fact you need to pull 200 to get qualified for PUME doesn't make UTME completely irrelevant. But this is a big blow to JAMB, although their money rolls in big time ( 6.4mx4600 Naira) not include those who could not apply because of indecision, lousiness and improper school admission lists' release timing.

Jamb is still relevant in LASU as long as it is a basis for determining who sits for the post-ume.  This info might just be not relevant at this time that many are preparing for their UTME exams. At least let the students score the basic requirement for p-ume in UTME first.

am not hussein fan ,am only advising incoming lasuite to prepare der mind ,whether u score 500 or 200 in utme ,u all hav equal chance , yur jamb is irrelevant for admision,all u need is 200 in utme,d post-ume is d means to an end and also an end in itself

400 ke? Is it that JAMB is getting easier or that the standards used in marking are getting more lax, or that the kids are getting smarter (which I know is impossible giving the state of our schools now). I remember back in the 90's, you'll have to chew your teeth to get up to 200. If you got up to 200 you were considered a genius. Then, they used to publish the names of the best boy and girl in JAMB in the papers, and their marks were usually around 230-250. I don't think I heard about anyone who got more than 250. The standards were so high! Now when I hear kids saying they got 350 -400 in JAMB, I say huh?

I don't like talking about LASU. When next you see any LASU part time student ask for his HOD he/she will tell you it is mallam ask for the DEAN of his college or faculty he will say MR Lasisi. NUC is right in proscribing the degree.

Clearly the UME exams conducted  by JAMB are STILL relevant for prospective LASU students as they are still required to attain a minimum mark of 200 BEFORE even being considered for post-UME tests there. So this post is misleading.
Candidates should STILL aim to score as high a mark as possible in the UME EXAMS. Period.

lasu admission this year was unfair. My brother score 64 in d post ume and the cut off for computer science for merit list was 65. Lasu has since then release 2 supplementary lists and my bros was not given admission. I checked thru the overall result file for d post ume, all i discovered was dat majority of those selected scored below 50 %. I mail the vc and the governor over dis matter but they never response cos i caught them red handed over dis magomago.

i partly agree dat there ar some lapses but b inform dat d 1st supp list are thoSE name frm governor,deputy,oba of lag et al , there is nothing d vc can do about dat and moreover it a state sch .dey favour der indigen dat y they conducted d indigen interview and alot of pple wer disqualify, possibly new vacant courses may b publish
