Egypt's Mohamed Salah has won the 2017 Arab Player of the Year, after a sparkling start to the season with English side, Liverpool. The Egypt forward has scored 23 goals in all competition for the Red's this term. In a poll of 100 sports journalists from several Arab countries, the former AS Roma man beat Syrians Omar Khribin, who plays for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia and Omar Al-Soma, of Saudi side Al Ahli to second and third respectively. Salah, 25, helped Egypt to qualify for this year’s World Cup finals in Russia, the first time since 28 years.
