SUVs are generally not synonymous with high speeds. But Jeep has been proven with the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk that sometimes, the laws of physics get smashed.

Their new Trackhawk comes with some ridiculous performance figures….. 6.2-liter 8-cylinder engine; 707 hp, 645 lb-ft; 8-speed automatic transmission that propels the car from 0-60mph in 3.5secs. Remember you still have space for your luggages in a fairly sized trunk, located where a trunk not frunk should be.

With 4WD, you can still have good traction where most other ‘lower-cadre’ cars would pass out. But because of the speed and performance focus of the car, you don’t get great ground clearance as that had been sacrificed so your car can stay closer to the ground.

John Hennessey, the world-famous man who gives the world some highly rated performance cars recently decided to test the manufacturer’s claimed figures (180 mph or 289 kph) for the Trackhawk.

And the result for the topspeed for now is not far off the mark as shared in the video John shared on Youtube below…

In true Hennessey fashion, there is word that they have decided to soon build their own version for those who wants more power to go faster with the following specs…..1012 hp and 969 lb-ft (1,313 Nm) of torque.
