Job objective: The HSE Coordinator will be expected to implement a systematic process for developing and implementing quality and safety procedures.

Responsibilities
• Assist in the implementation and maintaining of the certification of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
• Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as local client requirements.
• Conduct HSE audits and inspections.
• Be the main contact for inspection services.
• Conduct HSE presentations and training to employees as required.
• Responsible for the implementation of quality control procedures and plans for providing more efficient work.
• Assist in developing and maintaining quality standards that apply to work and ensuring proper implementation.
• Review and approve inspections, test plans and quality control plans from contractors (where applicable).
• Identify, analyze and resolve problems and issues with quality assurance and control for the organization.
• Identify and recommend requisite Safety equipment for the company.
• Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and material for which the role has responsibility.
• Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety and equality management.

Requirements
• A good 1st degree or HND in Engineering from a reputable institution.
• 2 years (or more) experience in a similar role.
• Possess strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, OHSA 18001 and qualified as an internal auditor.
• Good knowledge of relevant HSE principles.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of the use of the Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proactive (Ability to think and take initiative)
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to multitask.
• Must be dedicated and responsible.
