most often i see this pastor on suit or coat...i mean every service days, he never go for Native attire some time i wonder if pastors are meant to put on suits or coat alone...

i think it started from when Paul got the revelation to turn back and head to Macedonia on his way to Asia minor, The Gospel got to Macedonia which in a way influenced dressing which is a custom of the Macedonia people.
Imagine if Paul had gone to Asia then, maybe same culture could have influenced dressing too.

If pastor wear T-shirt and jeans now..na still the same Nigerian go say why him no wear suit...


The reason why pastors wear suit is because nigerians have this mentality to to believe someone who dresses in suit than in any other attire.

There is no particular dress code for pastors. The late arch bishop Benson Idahosa, former CAN president rarely wear suit and T.B Joshua rarely wear suit to preach. Those wearing are just copying the whites
