The three biggest obstacles are: 1. Lack of focus: 99% of the people out there want to become a millionaire on Monday, but also want a new iPhone on Tuesday, and dinner out on Saturday. This is not going to work. 2. Lack of patience: unless you are incredibly lucky, achieving results takes time (5/10 years of consistent behavior, good investments, smart choices, frugal life, etc.). Most people want results overnight. This is not going to work. 3. Unwillingness to go against the grain. To achieve great results you must do things differently from everybody else. The quickest you are able to come to terms with it, the better. Most of the people are not able (or do not have the mental courage) to go completely against the grain, but rather prefer to follow the beaten (and psychologically reassuring) path even if it — most likely — will not yield the desired results. |
