Low Tuition Universities: List Of Countries With Low Tuition Fees. by dayo229: 7:00am On Jan 17, 2018
There is no doubt that tuition fee in many
universities around the world continue to rise
making some to think that getting a quality and
recognized degree is not feasible without having a huge amount of money. There are many countries, especially European countries where students can
study with low tuition fees. Today I have put
together 15 countries where students can study at
an affordable rate.

1. Belgium
If you want to have one of the best education in the world at an affordable price I will say Belgium is the place. This beautiful country has some of its universities among the top 100 universities in the world. Belgium is a country located in Western
Europe. It is bordered by France, the Netherlands,
Germany and Luxembourg. Education in Belgium is quiet affordable with tuition fees for universities ranging from €890–€2,750 per academic year for international students. Some of the universities in Belgium include KU Leuven (ranked 96th in the world), Ghent University (ranked 70th in the world), Vrije University Brussels (VUB), etc.

2. Austria
This European country offers highly standard
education at an affordable cost with tuition fees
ranging between €1,200–€1,500. Austria is a
landlocked country with a population of over
8.7million. It is located in Central Europe bordering Czech Republic and Germany to the north, Hungary and Slovakia to the east, Slovenia and Italy to the south, and Switzerland and Liechtenstein to the west. The official language of Austrian is German however most of the people understand English. Education in Austria is free for EU citizens as long as the time-limit is not exceeded. Universities in Austria include Vienna University, Vienna University of Business and Economics, etc.

3. Portugal
The third country on my list is Portugal. Portugal is in Southwestern Europe bordering Atlantic ocean to the west and south and Spain to the north and east. Portugal education system ranks above OECD in Mathematics, Science and Reading. Portugal is the destination for many international students because of its peaceful nature as the country is ranked as the most peaceful country in the EU and the 3rd in the world. Some of the universities are: University
of Coimbra, University of Porto, University of Lisbon, etc with tuition fee for some of the universities between €950–€1,500.

4. Lithuania
Lithuania the largest of the three Baltic countries
is bordered by Latvia to the north, Belarus to the east and south and Poland to the south. Cost of education is low in Lithuania compare to other countries in Europe with a tuition between €1,300 to €4,200 per academic year. Universities include, Vilnius University, Vytautas Magnus University , Klaipėda University, Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences, etc.

5. Taiwan
This highly industrialized state is the fifth on my
list. The island of Taiwan is a state in East Asia
bordering the People's Republic of China (PRC) to the west, Japan to the northeast, and the Philippines to the south. With a population
of over 23million, Taiwan has over 500 fully
accredited universities. Taiwan is also one of
the top-performing countries in reading literacy,
maths and sciences. In 2015, Taiwanese
students achieved one of the world's best results in mathematics, science and literacy. Taiwan
universities is also know to have the highest
entrance rate, 90%, which means that when you
apply to any of the universities in Taiwan the
probability of getting acceptance is high. Tuition
fees for most university is between US$1,500 to US$4,000.

6. Turkey
Turkey is a transcontinental country in Eurasia,
mainly in Western Asia with a smaller portion in
Southeast Europe. The top universities in Turkey is
Middle East Technical University (ranked 201–225), Bilkent University and Koç University (both in the 226–250 rank), Istanbul Technical University and Boğaziçi University (ranked 276–300). Tuition fee ranges between €1,500 to €4,000.

7. Ukraine
Ukraine is located in the Eastern part of Europe
bordering Russia, Belarus, Poland, Hungary, and
Slovakia. This country has a population of about
42.5million. Higher education in Ukraine is cheap
with tuition fees range of €1,500–€4,000 per year.
Some of the oldest universities in Ukraine includes Kiev University, Odessa University and Chernivtsi University.

8. Cyprus
This country has some of the cheapest and
affordable universities in the world with several
courses offered in English. The beautiful island of
Cyprus is located in Eastern Mediterranean in the
south of Turkey, west of Syria and Lebanon, northwest of Israel, north of Egypt, and southeast of Greece. There are many universities in Cyprus such as Cyprus International University, Near East University, European Lefke University, etc. Tuition fee for these universities ranges from €2,000–€4,000 per academic year and the best part is that it is easier to get admission into Cyprus universities.

9. Czech Republic
This is the second landlocked country in Europe on my list, it is bordered by Germany, Austria, Poland and Slovakia. Czech republic is known for its tourism. Prague, the capital of the country is the fifth most visited city in Europe after London, Paris, Istanbul and Rome. Universities in Czech Republic includes Charles University, Masaryk University, Czech Technical University, Prague College, Mendel University, etc. Tuition range from €2,000–€3,000.

10. Poland
According to the World Bank, Poland has a
leading school educational system in
Europe. The country provides free university
education for all its citizens. Poland is situated in
Central Europe with a population of over 38.5million people. Tuition fees for some of the universities are between US$2,000–US$4,000.

11. Russia
Russia is the second Eurasia country on my list
after Turkey. Russia has some of the best
universities in the world with Moscow State
University ranking 95th in the world by QS world
university rankings. Other universities are: Saint
Petersburg State University, Southern Federal
University, Siberian Federal University, etc. Tuition

13. Estonia
This highly technological and industrial country is
the second Baltic country on my list. Estonian
Universities offers many courses in English and
there are also scholarships available for
international students and even if you are not able
to secure scholarship tuition fees are on the low
side, around €2,400–€4,000 per academic year.
Tartu University, Tallinn University of Technology,
Tallinn University, Estonian Entrepreneurship
University of Applied Sciences are some of the
universities in Estonia.

14. Hungary
Hungary is located in central Europe, it borders
Slovakia to the north, Romania to the east, Serbia to the south, Croatia to the southwest, Slovenia to the west, Austria to the northwest, and Ukraine to the northeast. Hungary higher education is
ranked among the best universities in the world.
Universities in Hungary are, Budapest University of
Technology and Economics, University of Pécs,
Eötvös Loránd University, etc. Tuition range is
€3,000–€5,000 per academic year.

15. India
India is the only Asia country on my list. Indian
higher education has made a significant progress in the recent year with many international students
coming for study. Universities in India include,
Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University, Mumbai University, University of Calcutta, etc. with tuition range of US$3,000–US$6,000 per year.

Please note that the above are only tuition fees and does not cover living expenses. Prospective
students have to cover their basic living expenses
which differs for every country.
