The Nigeria Communication Commission(NCC) is a welled known body ,that was entrusted with the responsibility of regulating the communication industry in conjunction with the network providers.
On a good day ,they came out with the idea urging subscribers to register their sims as to help sanitized the industry.
To all Nigerians, it was a welled come development ,at least ,with this exercise, it will enable the body monitor and checkmate the excesses of GSM users abuse.
But it is disheartened to know that after sims registration, Kidnappers used registered sims to ask for Ransome as long as it lasted.
Armed robbers, Fraudsters, Scammers and political looters uses registered sims to transact their evil activities without trace,even under the nose of Ncc and Network providers.
Just a minute,I had a problem with my sim and called the customers care to sought it out,was made to understand that our discussion is been monitored.
With this information, which of a registered sim is not monitored?
So both Ncc and Network providers has a good info of any on going discussion made with registered sims ,so if Ncc and networks providers cannot work in conjunction with law enforcement agency to reduced crimes, then consider sim cards registeration a big failure and a huge waste of human resources.
At this junction, let both Ncc and networks providers look away from too much monetary targets and save the nation of too many evils pestering us through the abused of registered sims cards.!!!
