History was being made.... they had to be a part of it. This is a first for Football in Africa.
An African Ex-Footballer was being sowrn in as president of a nation officially after winning the elections many weeks back.

George Weah is one name that oozes Excellence.....

Only African player to be crowned European Footballer of the year (Ballon D'or
winner).

Only African player to be crowned Fifa World player of the year (transformed to Fifa Balloon D'or and now called Fifa The Best Awards).

Now, First African ex-footballer who played at the highest level to be president. And also the first World player of the year/Balloon D'or winner to ever become President.

His CV oozes a tale of excellence... he was even captain of the Liberian National football team as a player and came close to spoiling Nigeria's dream of making the 2002 World cup.
He is truly a natural born leader. Congrats again George Oppong Weah, President of Liberia. smiley
